Commission Rates

In a real estate transaction, the seller typically pays their agent’s commission and the buyer’s agent’s.
Who pays the agents’ commissions in a real estate transaction? Typically, the seller pays their agent’s commission and the buyer’s agent’s as well. This means there’s no cost to hiring an agent to buy a home. Specifically, seller-paid commissions are split four ways: One fee goes to their agent, another goes to the listing broker, another goes to the buyer’s agent, and the last goes to the buyer’s agent’s broker. Take Care of These 4 Essential Tasks When Moving

Here are four important tasks you shouldn’t forget about when moving to a new home.

No matter how carefully buyers do their homework, certain tasks on the home buying to-do list fall through the cracks. Too often, they’re so excited by the purchase of their new home that the little items get forgotten. To keep you from having to deal with a potentially stressful situation, here is a list of essential tasks you shouldn’t forget:

2. Overpricing. Price is everything when marketing your home. Even a well-priced house with lousy marketing will still sell, it just may take a bit longer.

Avoiding these common mistakes will make your home selling process much smoother.

There are five main factors that determine how long a home spends on the market.

How long does it really take to sell a home?

According to Realtor.com, the average time a home spends on the market is about 65 days. However, there are five main factors that affect this number:

1. Location. How close are you to the amenities in your town?

2. Price. Pricing your home appropriately plays a big role in determining its days on market.

3. Inventory. What’s it like in your area? How are supply and demand? When supply is down, the days on market decreases.

4. School districts. This factor is especially important for buyers with children. Many of them research the schools in the area they’re buying in to see how they rank.

5. Condition. Right now, buyers are looking for more move-in ready homes and fewer fixer-uppers.
